Breakfast is one of the most important meals and there are  some foods  that you need to avoid in the morning  and on an empty stomach.

Here is the list of DO and DON’T eat for  breakfast :

DO: Oatmeal

This way you will create a protective layer around the stomach lining,reduce the levels of cholesterol, improves digestion, metabolizes the vital minerals, carbohydrates and proteins.

And it will keep your hunger away for a longer time.

DON’T: High sugar, fruit juices

Packed with refined sugar this drinks will increase your blood sugar levels and leave you less satiated.

DO: Eggs

Scrambled, poached or boiled eggs will keep you full for a long time.

DON’T: Tomatoes

If you have problems with acid reflux or stomach ulcers  avoiding tomatoes because  they contain very high levels of tannic acid that increasing acidity in the stomach .

DO: Blueberries

Blueberries are one of the healthiest fruits on the planet; they are low in calories, but they improve memory, improve blood pressure and circulation and improve metabolism. Their benefits are augmented when consumed for breakfast! You can put them on oatmeal, eat them in a fruit salad, or just pick at them on your own.

DO: Watermelon

Watermelon is mostly water and has  lycopene that  improves heart-health and the health of your eyes.

DON,T Coffee or Tea

-tea in the morning may cause stomach discomfort and nausea

– coffee on an empty stomach may aggravate the symptoms of gastritis and reflux.

DON’T: Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits can irritate the inflamed lower esophagus so you should  limit the intake of these citrus fruits, especially on an empty stomach.

DO: Nuts

The nuts are rich in protein so they  normalize the pH levels in your stomach and  improve the digestive health .

DON’T: Short Crust/ Puff Pastry

Danishes and Croissants contain yeast, bacteria which irritate the lining of the stomach and leads to flatulence.

DO: Papaya

Papaya releases papain that  aids  digestion and reduce the risk of colon cancer .Fiber, vitamin E, and vitamin C,are only some of the extras you get from eating papaya

DO: Buckwheat

Rich in  protein, iron, and vitamins this makes it great for an add up for breakfast .

DO: Wheat Germ

Only two tablespoons of wheat germ has 10% of  daily value of folic acid and 15 %  of daily value of vitamin E.

DON’T : Carbonated Drinks

These  drinks  causes  obesity and if consumed  on an empty stomach they can damage the mucous membrane and reduce the blood supply to the stomach.

DO: Whole Grains

Have complex carbohydrates so consume them in the morning to  burn off those carbohydrates throughout the day. The best is to combine them in some whole grain waffles or pancakes.

DO: Cornmeal Porridge

Cornmeal porridge removes toxins and heavy metals,normalizes intestinal microflora and keeps you  full.
